Everyone has their own reasons for wanting to commission jewellery. To own a one of a kind, bespoke piece of jewellery and seeing it evolve from an idea into an actual, wearable item can be hugely rewarding. Over the years I have seen couples delight in presenting commitment rings to one another, proud grandparents create a beautiful pendant for their granddaughters’ graduation, sisters using sentimental jewellery left to them by their mum to make rings for one another, bracelets given to wives by their adoring husbands to celebrate the birth of children, designed and made a diamond encrusted cricket bat pendant for a well known England cricketer and much more besides! Whether it’s remodelling existing jewellery into something new and more wearable, or working with new materials, we can work together to create something truly unique.
For me, working on commissions is also a great chance to explore new techniques and push the boundaries of what I am capable of making. I love creating pieces with a clever, engineered twist…why shouldn’t things be wearable and functional too? Each piece has it’s own story and that’s what keeps things truly interesting and inspiring to me.
We hope you’ll enjoy some of the unusual pieces in our commissions gallery! Please visit our commissions process page if you would like to find out how to commission your own piece of bespoke jewellery.
